Lucas Jiménez

"Lucas Jimenez is one of those musicians who feel the need to be constantly evolving" Javier Horche.
   He began studying drums in the 90s, with Salvador Niebla and Juan Gonzalez, the rest of his apprenticeship he made on his own.
   Rated by "Batería Total"  magazine and the newspaper "El Pais" as one of the best drummer in Spain, has put his personal touch to the service of very important figures in the international pop and rock, as Raimundo Amador, Sergio Dalma, Social Security, Malu, Lluís Llach, Clandestine, Quimi Portet, Francisco, The Presets, Joseph French, Pele, Gerard Quintana, Sergio Alcover, Hungarian, Tati Roman, etc..
  In the jazz scene, he has collaborated with famed drummer Gregg Bissonette, in addition to sharing the stage, has worked in various master classes between 2003 and 2005. He has been part of the band of one of the musicians in jazz emblematic national Valencia guitarist Ximo Tébar integrated jazz trio based in Valencia Cuban trombonist Julio Montalvo "Montaltrío" David Shepherd Band, Dr.Blues, Kiko Berenguer , Roque Martinez Quintet and others.
   As a solo artist, she recorded two albums, in 2000, Theater of the 2006 live album and silent, waiting for editing with independent label Montalvo Records, his latest album "The Killer groove" produced by Julio Montalvo, where caliber musicians involved Ricart Emilio "The Chambe" Piano and keyboards, and Abel Sanabria Acanda Alex Bass Guitar, Vocals Eugenia Sancho, Rafa Peletey voice, alto Roque Jorge Ivan Cebrian guitar, trumpet and David Pastor Julio Montalvo who also recorded trombone and keyboards composed and wrote all the arrangements on the album.
   In articles published in professional journals, has shown us the importance of physical fitness and concentration, an important requirement in the art of drumming.
